This week, we are featuring an office nook from our semi-custom Diamond Edge line in the paint color Maritime. Blending hues reminiscent of wind and waves, Maritime is an on-trend, exciting neutral cabinet paint that is a flawless compliment to many colors for a fresh, casual look.
Built to order, semi-custom cabinets can be installed in a wide choice of finishes, stains, paints, glazes and specialty finishing techniques such as distressing.
They are also available with features such as roll out shelves, door racks and organization inserts, & can be embellished with crown moulding, cabinet legs & feet, and a range of hardware choices to create a unique look.
In tribute to the brushed finish hardware, we paired this nook with a black soapstone surface. Soapstone is a naturally occurring stone but with a very dark color and light veins throughout. Soapstone is a non-porous stone which means that it will not stain, which is hard to say for granite and marble, but it still retains the heat dispersion that marble and granite possess. One thing soapstone has in common with Marble is how soft it is; it’s very easy to carve into. Unlike other natural stones, there are ways to alter the tone of this stone using mineral oil, which makes it extremely unique.
