MODERN-TRADITIONAL DESIGN

This week we have a modern-traditional kitchen remodel installed for a customer who wanted to mix some natural wood with modern grey & chrome designs. We installed their semi-custom cabinets in a dark wood stain & simple door style & added a grey subway tile to add that modern touch. Her surfaces were installed in a sleek fantasy macaubus pattern, completing her kitchen design.

The soft grey background is subtly highlighted with white and gray veins in these stunning quartzite slabs. Fantasy Macaubas Quartzite countertops, accent walls, and floors complement a variety of design styles from traditional to modern. Quartzite is suitable for both residential and commercial properties, and may be used outdoor design projects.

Built to order, semi-custom cabinets can be installed in a wide choice of finishes, stains, paints, glazes and specialty finishing techniques such as distressing.

They are also available with features such as roll out shelves, door racks and organization inserts, & can be embellished with crown moulding, cabinet legs & feet, and a range of hardware choices to create a unique look.

Originating as sandstone, quartzite is an immensely strong and durable natural stone. Its strength and long-lasting nature make it ideal for kitchen countertop surfaces. The myriad of colors, appealing patterns and hardness of this stone make quartzite a considerable choice for any application.

Quartzite is a naturally occurring stone, like granite, but is different when it comes to its formation. It is a metamorphic stone, meaning that it’s formed when rocks and sandstone undergo extreme pressure and heat to meld into a new material. It’s resistant to scratching, etching, and acids which makes it perfect for a kitchen setting. Although granite has the same advantages, the colors are often lighter with quartzite because of the amount of sandstone in its make up. It will often resemble marble due to its unique veining of blues, greens, and reds that are naturally occurring.
