IVO STONE FABRICATION & POLISHING
Design the way you dream with IVO. From natural stone and artificial surfaces to backsplashes, you can create indoor & outdoor spaces that reflect your style and personality. Our stone fabrication & polishing process is divided into five core steps to ensure your dreams become reality.
1. SELECTION
Selecting the right surface can be intimidating, but we are here to help! There are many important factors to consider when choosing any stone surface: Is it heat resistant? Is it heavily porous? Can I choose an edged finish? How can I maintain it? We’ll help you choose the perfect surface so that all you’ll have to do is choose a color & pattern option!
2. DESIGN
Once you have your surface, style of edge & color pattern options, we can start simulating your space with our design tool. With your exact measurements, you’ll have a sneak peek at your space before the product is installed.
3. TEMPLATE
You’ve got your design, now all that’s left to do is fabricate the stone. During our templating process, we input your measurements into our templator system which are then transmitted to our CNC stone cutting system, Sabre. This step reduces possibility of human error during the cutting process.
4. FABRICATION
We can now begin to cut your selected surface to fit your dream space. During the cutting process, our CNC cutting system uses water to wash away debris & suppress stone dust. Using water prevents the stone from clogging & from releasing crystalline silica into the air. Water also prevents the stone from cracking under pressure!
5. POLISHING
The final core step of our process is stone polishing! Our CNC polishing system, Titan uses the same water backed practice to smooth your surface & add its’ special edge. Sink & cooktop cutouts require special hand polishing to reduce possibility of cracking. Once polished, your surface is now ready for installation!
